Plenty of scratches, no surface pen. Should be ”Certified Used”
By William Spalding
Device has 3 deep scratches on the screen, one is about 2” long and the back is covered in scratches. Didn't bother trying to power device on, will update review when replacement device gets here
Updated from 1 star to 4. Unit was replaced and the replacement unit was flawless with the excepting of the very minor wear on the side.

The perfect computer for an on the go artist
By The Divine Iguana
I absolutely love my Surface Pro 3. I am a professional artist with a limited budget and this machine was a hefty investment for me. I am happy to say that it was worth every penny.
This tablet has plenty of processing power to run Photoshop and other graphics intensive programs smoothly and easily. The pen interface is intuitive and comfortable. I can even rest my hand on the screen while I draw!
With just a few tweaks to out of the box settings this tablet has taking over from my Wacom Cintiq tablet as my preferred drawing surface.
I purchased a keyboard stand and frankly NEVER use the tablet without it. That is the only major complaint, that the keyboard stand should be included.
I was nervous about purchasing a refurbished tablet, but my Surface Pro 3 exceeded my expectations for about a week. Then a tiny nick in the screen bloomed into a hairline crack across the screen. No drop, nothing...the machine was just sitting on my desk and all of a sudden a crack appeared.
Amazon has a really excellent return policy and I fully intend to replace this tablet with another Surface Pro 3 as soon I get my refund for this one. Just, maybe a new one this time instead of a refurb.

Great product when working, but customer service is horrible to deal with if you have issues.
Great product when it works. It's light, blazingly fast, starts up quickly, and replaced my PC laptop and my tablet.
My touchscreen went out. >1 hour on the phone with Microsoft customer service to get a new one. The replacement tablet I was sent had a discolored screen. Now >2 hours back on the phone with Microsoft to get a better one.
IF you are lucky enough to get a fully functional refurbished tablet and don't need to deal with customer service, then you're good to go. Otherwise, expect a big headache.
