Not the performance I was hoping for

I went through the set up process and am not getting the speed I expected. The best I have ever had, when only one device was hooked up, was around 20 Mbps. Currently I get anywhere between 3.5 and 13 Mbps. That is using my iPhone 6plus on the 5.1 channel, only one other iPhone is connected to that channel. My speeds when I plug in to the modem via Ethernet, to my older i5 laptop, is 135 Mbps. Ethernet out of the router is in the 13Mbps range. I'm "hoping" it is a defective router. Tried contacting support but their form would not let me "submit" it. No phone support that I could see.
I am not a tech expert, but did work methodically through the Tenda interface to make sure I was setting things up for the greatest possible performance.

Setup process was easy. Everything else was a pain. Everytime I called customer service I received a voicemail and only received one phone call back.

Bought this item right from the beginning could not get ...

Bought this item right from the beginning could not get it to work thought maybe the problems with my Internet service provider so I called them and got it to work for a little bit but when I did work it was very slow and I would just go off and on now I've had it more than 30 days and cannot return it so I get it no stars
