3You Get What You Pay For
    By Paul Molinaro
    Basic Printing Needs - Excellent

If you just need laser printing on the standard 8 1/2 by 11 (letter) or 8 1/2 by 14 (legal) sized papers, then this printer does that job fabulously. Easy set-up, fast printing, and clear, sharp images.

Envelopes, Labels, Odd Sized Paper - Poor

    (1) This printer has one alternate media feeder which only handles one piece of paper or one envelope or one sheet of labels at a time. If you need more than one printed, you need to hand feed, and open the main media tray so that the printer doesn't grab a sheet from there.

    (2) This printer also crumbles envelopes, labels, or odd sized paper when fed through the alternate media site.

    (3) If the above wasn't evidence enough of poor quality, short sized papers (8 1/2 by 4) seem to jam the printer unless you switch the output to the back of the printer. This is not a problem if your printer is on a table all by itself, but if you're like most users who have other things near the printer, you need to move the printer away to let paper fall out the back.

Overall - If you just print on standard size paper and need a fast 'n cheap laser, this is it. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

3Decent personal black and white laser printer
    By Amazon Customer
Print quality and print speed seem very good for a relatively low-priced black and white laser printer.

My biggest complaint is that this printer sucks a lot of power when initially powering up to print. I have it connected through a surge protector with battery backup, although it is in the "surge protection only" plug of the protector. Every time I print the surge protector thinks the power is going out and briefly kicks into battery backup mode (it makes a beep). Other people in my office experience the same problem with this printer. One person reported noticable dimming of their lights when starting to print.

2Noisy, we made it work by switching components
    By Joy Wu
The shipping was fast, I give it credit for that. However this machine only worked OK for less than 2 days, and then it started to make loud noises as if some parts were broken. Luckily we have an old machine in the same model (which is why we bought this one, so we can use up the extra drum and toner), and we switched some components, and now it's working.
